Living Room Inspiration Board

It's been a while... hasn't it?

I have a lot to share with you!  At least, I've taken a lot of pictures.  Maybe I'll get the motivation to post about them sometime...  :)

Anyway~ I've been a long time follower of I Heart Naptime, a today they launched a new website called "The Inspiration Board".

This site is soooo groovy!  You can take the pictures that move you and put it on a virtual board.

It's different than Pinterest, because you can make groupings of the things that inspire you and see how they look together.  It's so much fun!

I literally spent half the day putting together this board for my living room:

Pretty nifty, isn't it?

Check out my boards here.

Go over there and make some of your own... like NOW!

New Year Clean-Up Crew

I don't know about you, but I have trouble getting motivated to do my projects or getting anything done when I feel my house is a wreck. Even simple things like cooking dinner.

Well, getting organized and keeping things clean is one of the many resolutions I've made to myself for the new year. I've figured the best way to do this is to tackle one room/closet/space at a time. So yesterday I tackled the kitchen. The biggest part of the kitchen was the pantry. I couldn't believe how much was in there! It's amazing what gets hidden behind other stuffs!

After working for half of the day cleaning and tossing, the pantry went from this:
***Horrific screams***
(It took some psyching up to post this.
It's hard for me to admit that I'm messy sometimes.)

To this:
Hooray!!! I feel so much better!

I don't have the cute baskets or containers to make it exactly what I want, but it's definitely than what it as before.

Are any of you on the clean-up for the new year crew?

I'm a Stashbuster!

Sometimes we just need someone to pick us in the pants and put us on track...

Robin over at The T-Shirt Diaries, is hosting a Stashbusting September linkup party! It's party for bloggers who are committed to busting their stash of crafts and projects that need to be finished without buying ANY new supplies for the month of September.

Now, if any of you are like me, you have a GIANT list/pile of unfinished and undone projects that continuously seems to grow. This is a great way for me to knock out those projects that I keep putting off and I know the Hubs will love the fact that I'm not allowed to purchase any new supplies. That will be the hard one for me. Not that I buy a TON of stuff, but I do love my 1/2-price Saturdays at the Gee-Double-Yuh. How will I be able to resist!?! I guess I'll just have to muster up the willpower and bear it {for at least one month}.

Do you think it still counts if I stock up on supplies now before September? ;)
Hmm...better not...

Well, I've made the commitment, now it's time to follow though. Wish me luck! :)

Many happy thoughts,

My First "Official" Post

Finally! My first real post! Sorry for the delay, but you know how it goes... Life always creeps up... Anyhoo~ I have a TON of projects in the works right now. Some furniture redos and little home decoration projects. Here is the first one I've been able to finish. I know it's not huge and spectacular, but it's FiNiShEd none-the-less, and I'm pretty pleased with it:

I took this ugly $3 frame the Gee-Double-Yuh (Goodwill):

And turned it into this cute hair accessory holder for my daughter:

Total cost to finish? Less that $5. Sweet!
I'm really pleased with how this turned out! It makes me happy!

Thanks for stopping by!
