It was quite a cloudy and rainy day here in the valley of the sun.
Good thing, too.
I think we topped out at a whopping 83* today.
Whoo!
It's a welcomed change to the 115*+ summer weather we had this year.
At one point, I got into my car to see this:
Bah!
Thank goodness for cooler temps!
Will it last?
I hope so.
Anyway~ I never feel like fall is here until there is a drop in the temperature. Today inspired me to take out some of my fall decor and start getting excited for Halloween!
YAY!
Over the past few weeks I had been working on a new banner. It seems like banners are the only thing I've been posting about (and not even that often). As I've said before, I am trying to get one made for each holiday/season. So, without further adieu~ here is my Halloween Banner in all it's glory!
Spooooooky!
The paper is from the "Jeepers Creepers" stack I purchased from Hobby Lobby.
I decided to make each pennant a different shape and different pattern of paper.
I distressed the edges of each pennant and pinwheel with a Tim Holtz distressing pad in
"Vintage Photo".
I used my Silhouette to cut out the spider webs and letters. The font was a free one I
downloaded called "IFC Railroad".
I used a vintage crocheted lace (purchased from SAS Fabrics in Tempe) and grosgrain ribbon at
the top of each pennant.
I tied it them altogether with black and a sparkly green tulle.
And to finish it all up, I topped them off with these skull cameos I purchased last
year from Michael's.
.Aren't they fun!?!?
What kind of Fall/Halloween stuff have you been working on?
I'm partying with these great linkies:
